## @handles Protocol

The @handles protocol and its operations allow "@" to be recognized and cataloged by indexers, wallets, and marketplaces.\

The current SNS (Sats Name Service) protocol does not support names using any prefixes outside of a period (.)  This requires that these assets have their own protocol for further use, indexing, and development. \
\
Additionally, this protocol can be used as a template for other prefix identifiers.  Such as #, $, or !

This document is a resource to assist others in the creation, registration, and indexing of @handles inscriptions found on the Bitcoin Blockchain.
